Baked Beans with Brisket

This baked beans and brisket recipe is easy to make and simply delicious! The sauce melds together to a similar flavor of Kansas City BBQ, then add the J&R Ranch brisket with some green pepper and onions and you have a complete meal – perfect on a cold evening!

This recipe will serve 8-10 people!

Ingredients

This entire recipe should take around 10 mins of preparation and 3+ hours in a crock pot slow cooking.

  • 1 white onion (chopped)
  • 1 green pepper (chopped)
  • Ground Mustard (1 Tbsp)
  • Favorite Bakes Beans (1 large can, 20 oz) – I prefer ‘Bush Original Baked Beans’ but your favorite is perfect!
  • J&R Ranch Beef Brisket (1 package, 2 lbs)
  • Dark Brown Sugar (1 Cup)
  • Ketchup (1 Cup)
  • Honey (1 Cup)
  • Molasses (1 Cup)

Preparation

Baked Beans

  • Open the 20 oz can of beans and drain! The question of draining the beans or not is almost a religious decision it seems… I normally would not drain the juice from the can but because we are making our own sauce already with this recipe, we decided to drain the beans first.
  • Add the beans into the crock pot.

J&R Ranch Sliced Brisket

  • Open 1 package of J&R Ranch Sliced Brisket (2 lbs)
  • Chop the sliced brisket into 1″ chunks.
  • Add the brisket into the crock pot.

Green Peppers, Onion, and Ground Mustard

  • Chop green pepper and onion – keep it as a course chop (chunky style) as these will reduce in the crock pot.
  • Add the green pepper and onion into the crock pot.
  • Add 1 Tbsp of ground mustard into the crock pot.

Dark Brown Sugar, Ketchup, Honey, and Molasses

  • Add 1 cup of dark brown sugar into the crock pot.
  • Add 1 cup of Ketchup into the crock pot.
  • Add 1 cup of honey into the crock pot.
  • Add 1 cup of molasses into the crock pot.

Let the Crock Pot do its thing!

  • Stir the ingredients and put on the crock pot lid.
  • Crock Pot on LOW for 3+ hours

      Ready to Server and Enjoy!
